Privacy

Draft version — June 2026. The summary is simple: Revi is designed to know nothing about you.

The app

• Speech recognition happens entirely on your Mac.
• We collect no audio, no texts, no telemetry, no usage analytics.
• No account is required.
• Dictation history, if enabled, stays on your Mac.
• License validation happens offline, using public-key cryptography: the app does not need to contact our servers to work.

The Cloud plan (optional)

• If you enable the Cloud plan, the audio of each dictation is sent to our servers and forwarded to the transcription provider (OpenAI) to be converted into text.
• Neither the audio nor the text is ever stored: they pass through and are discarded. We only record transcribed minutes, to enforce the plan’s fair-use cap.
• Providers are contractually barred from training on your data.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record, which processes billing data under its own privacy policy. We only receive the purchase email address, to issue your license key.
